We are seeking a full-time Wealth Advisor to join our team. You will work with a team of wealth management professionals and other Laird Norton Wetherby (LNW) team members to provide excellent service to our ultra high net worth wealth management clients.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Nature of the Role

  • Partner with client service team to provide outstanding service to our wealth management clients. Responsibilities will grow with tenure, experience, and skills development. 
  • May co-lead clients, or may support client engagement alongside senior Wealth Manager, depending on client complexity. 

Core Job Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for client inquiries. Responds to client questions and ad hoc requests from third parties in a timely manner.
  • Communicate proactively with clients and respond to client questions in a timely manner. Clearly articulate thoughts, ideas and plans to clients.
  • Implement tailored investment strategies across all asset classes appropriate to each client's goals and objectives. Rebalance client portfolios and execute trades without error. Monitor daily transactions and weekly cash balances in client accounts to ensure adequate cash balances for known cash outflows.
  • Proactively develop, communicate and implement wealth and financial planning strategies for clients, integrating detailed and complex information from the client’s situation and the markets.
  • Prepare and present financial planning analysis including projections, estate planning, tax, Medicare, Social Security, Insurance, etc.
  • Lead or actively participate in client meetings, depending on client team role. Coordinate client meetings including scheduling, preparing agenda and materials, and coordinating post-meeting follow up items.
  • Collaborate with Investment, Operations and other groups as needed to ensure constructive partnership in responding to client needs.
  • Foster strong long-term relationships with assigned clients.
  • Support onboarding process for new clients.
  • Maintain and follow department process and procedures and actively look for opportunities and implement improvements and efficiencies.
  • Support business development efforts as assigned, including creating presentation materials and client portfolio proposals. Focus on developing external network and COI relationships.
  • Participate in prospect meetings as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities will increase and vary based on needs of business.

More About You

  • At least 8 years or more of client service, financial planning, and/or private client relationship management.
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience in the financial services industry.
  • Certification (Series 65 or other) required. Strong preference for CFP or equivalent knowledge.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite are required; advanced skills preferred. Other software applications, including financial software tools, are a plus.
  • Interest in building a successful career within an inclusive and client-centric firm. 

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong knowledge of planning concepts, including estate and legacy, education, gifting, taxes, retirement, insurance, mortgage and other debt.
  • Strong knowledge of investment management. Strong knowledge of markets, asset classes and different security types. Strong knowledge of investment process, models and rebalancing. Knowledgeable and conversant on all managers in the portfolios.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to independently complete, manage, and delegate projects which include multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong listening abilities.
  • Facilitate proactive, consistent and effective communication when collaborating with clients and coworkers.
  • Be available to provide client and strategic input and advice to client team.

Compensation and Benefits
We provide a competitive salary commensurate with your experience and skills and offer an annual bonus based on company and individual performance. The hiring salary range for this position is $124,800 to $156,000, depending on location and experience.

The salary range applies to current posting and may change in the future. The posted salary range may vary for key factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related knowledge, experience, skill set, and geographic location.
